- Inspect the item in person, and for vehicles, take it for a proper test drive before you commit.
Paying safely
- Never send money — a deposit, a bank transfer, anything — before you've seen the item in person.
- Be wary of any seller who pushes you to pay upfront, especially if they can't meet in person.
- Get a receipt or written record of the sale, and keep the in-app chat history as a record too.
Checking a seller
- Look for a Verified badge on the seller's profile — it means their phone, email, or ID has been checked.
- A profile with no verification and no history isn't automatically a problem, but it's worth extra caution.
- Keep the conversation inside Sembuwa's chat until you're confident, rather than moving to a phone number right away.
If something feels wrong
Trust your instincts. If a listing or a conversation feels off — a price that's too good to be true, pressure to act fast, a request to pay before meeting — stop and walk away.
